Outside the kitchen door is a delightful balustraded area with tables and chairs under a rose covered pergola.

 

Breakfast out here on new baked bread, fresh eggs and fruit from the terraces.

 

Lunch on salami and Parma ham, sweet tomatoes and peppers with fresh herbs that grow just outside the kitchen door. Put together with a green salad tossed in superb Luccan olive oil and wine vinegar.

 

Finish with regional cheeses and olives all washed down with copious quantities of the excellent local table wine.

 

Dinner could be barbecued giant Florentine steaks or corn fed chicken served with totally fresh organic vegetables, accompanied by Chianti Classico.

 

Finish with some spectacular delights from the local patiserie and almond biscuits dipped in Moscato wine.

 

 

There is a magnificent choice of Restaurants in the area, from the sophisticated and highly regarded “La Mora”, which features in all the major guide books, to the excellent local Restaurants, Trattoria and Pizzeria, where for a few pounds you can enjoy the region’s many delightful specialities.

 

Within 5 km of the house are four excellent restaurants.

 

One of these specialises in fish while the others offer superb meat and home made pasta dishes.
